Steven C. Wyatt, Ph.D.
Dr. Wyatt is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Tennessee. He is also a licensed and ordained minister. He has over 20 years of experience in the areas of psychological assessment and counseling with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In addition to graduating from the University of North Texas in 1985 with a Doctorate in Psychology, he has also earned an associates degree in practical ministry from the F.I.R.E. school of ministry in Charlotte, NC. in 2004. Other than meeting with individuals and families in the counseling and assessment process, Dr. Wyatt's other passion is to present to interested groups on relevant topics to family life and the practical application of Biblical truths to day to day living. He and his wife Melinda have been married since 1977 and have two grown sons, Ryan and Kenneth, a daughter-in-law, Kelly and three grandsons, Anson, Valin & Davin.
LynneWhitten, MS., M.ED.
Lynne graduated in 1977 from Southeastern College with a degree in Secondary Education/English/Bible. She received her masters’ degrees in mental health counseling and education from Lee University. She worked at Harbor Safe House, a battered women’s shelter, and taught anger management classes to at-risk teens and incarcerated women. Along with individual counseling, her internship included teaching parenting classes to court-ordered parents and incarcerated groups. She revised and updated the LAMP anger management program materials for adolescents at the Behavioral Research Institute. Lynne also works in inner healing and deliverance. She is currently working toward her licensure in mental health counseling under the supervision of Dr. Wyatt.
Lynne worked for over twenty years with her husband in music ministry, singing and writing and directing plays. She also led Bible studies in women’s ministry and trained evangelism teams for an organization called Operation Beachhead. Her greatest desire is to see people set free, restored, and following hard after God.
Her greatest enjoyment has been raising her children, whom she homeschooled for over twelve years. She has two grown children, Richard and Anna. Anna is married to David Ivy and Richard and his wife, Lauren, have two children Micah and Noah.
Sue Mead
Sue is the founder and president of Safe Haven and is an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her full time ministry of ten years included working with drug addicts and prostitutes in New York's inner city, as well as ministering to unwed mothers in the mountains of Wyoming.
She has recently served as Director of Pastoral Care at Brownsville Revival School of Ministry where she also served as a faculty member. Currently she is an associate in independent practice at The SOZO Center in Knoxville, Tennessee specializing in inner healing and deliverance ministry.
Her vision is to see the brokenhearted healed and set free, so that they can become whole again and receive new hope for their future.
